1. Introduction

On the new developments page we write in no particular order. And it's summer now.

1.1 Summer 2007

In an email richard writes:
TO: schoutdi@knoware.nl
From: "Richard Verbeek"
Subject: gesprek met elkaar
Date: Wed, 11 Jul 2007 13:31:03 +0200

...
- alles met betrekking tot syndeocms staat op naam van Fred
staat, van merknaam tot domeinnaam, ben je het ergens
hierover niet mee eens dan zul je daarvoowhen you disagree on something you will have
to contact him.
r bij hem moeten zijn.
This cripple Dutch translates as: ...
Subject: conversation
...
Everything concerned with syndeocms is on Freds name, from the trademark
up to domainname, when you disagree on something you will have
to contact him.
...
A check on domain names revealed:
DOMAIN syndeocms.com
Owner
Name: R.C.H. Verbeek
Organization: Scorpio B.V.
Email: richardverbeek@gmail.com
Address: van Eeghenstraat 79
The same goes for the .org and .net and .eu domains. See the following screenshots from: Richard Verbeek is the site owner, thus fully responsible for the content and the violations of copyright and LGPL. When Richard writes "when you disagree on something you will have to contact him" he denies responsability for his actions and puts the blame on Fred. Nice partners!

August 2007: It seems 'everything' is connected with 'everything' in this business. Fred owns site(s?), Richard owns site(s), sites are linked, Trinette has a contract with Richard... It's all a bit intertwined.
October 2007: A slight change, but it's still safe to see them as a bundle. No need to address Fred or Richard separately.
And Richards statement "Everything concerned with syndeocms is on Freds name" is stll beside the truth. More to follow.

1.2 Autumn 2007

The other day we visited Freds Syndeo site. To our surpirse we found this screenshot:

This is worth commenting on:

1.3 Spring 2008

Well, Richard Verbeek and I met on the 4th of February. To make a long story short, I quote a line from a mail. Richard claims he does not violate copyrights (of course!) and says:
- Wij leveren onze eigen mauals in het Nederlands, Engels of eventueel trainingsvideo's mee.

Which translates as:

- We deliver our own manuals in Dutch, English and eventually
training video's.

It seems reasonable to ask:

>> - Wij leveren onze eigen mauals in het Nederlands,
>> Engels of eventueel trainingsvideo's mee.

Waar kan ik het Engelse manual vinden?
Translation: "Where can I find the English manual?"

No answer from Richard Verbeek on this simple question. Why? Is he hiding something?
In my humble opinion he is. Why not show his English manual? I guess he uses my manual and has removed the copyrights, just like Steve Pallet did.
Steve's action can be seen here http://syndeocms.info/steve_pallet.html. Both use the same method: do whatever you like with other people's rights as long as you can get away with it.
As I said earlier, when you cannot effort a lawyer, use the Internet for 'naming and shaming'.

Topday, the 28ht of June I received a mail from Mr. Stephen Pallet:

From: Stephen Pallet
Subject: more please

hey dirk, when is the next installment on your little website?
it's like an old soap opera, i'm missing it so much...! :-D

if you learn to spell properly, people might actually believe some
of it!

Mr. Pallet is absolutely right. I make a lot of typos and spelling errors. My interpretation of the English grammar might be 'peculiar', not to speak about syntax.
The explanation is simple: I'm a Dutchman, not a native speaker. Practically I'm almost a blind typist because I am visually impaired. So I'm afraid Mr. Pallet, I can't even apologise.
A Dutch sentence might be appropriate here:"Beste Stephen Pallet, je zou een advocaat op mij afsturen. Ik heb tot nu toe niets gezien. Met vriendelijke groet, Dirk Schouten"

And then, after a busy summer a mail drops in my box. Here it is:
